Year in Review (2021 Metrics)
MediGuide's medical second opinion (MSO) key performance indicators (KPIs) reflect yet another strong performance for 2021. Our services were well received by members, turnaround time was well below the 10 days we promise, and the vast majority of cases resulted in a different outcome for members.
MSO case categories
While oncology typically accounts for the largest number of cases, last year’s figures show an increase of MSO services for several other medical conditions. This shows that members are becoming increasingly aware that MediGuide’s services are available for any medical condition, from brain tumors and heart disease to recurrent urinary tract infections and foot pain.
World Leading Medical Centers (WLMC)
MediGuide provides the highest level of MSO expertise, with the Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospitals (combined) consistently accounting for our highest number of cases. That said we’ve seen a steady rise in the number of cases evaluated by MySpecialistMD Physician Network and specialist medical centers like IOB in Spain for cancer cases and Orthoca in Belgium for orthopedic cases.
Digital health ecosystem
In the last two years the global health sector experienced major disruptions to the delivery of healthcare services. MediGuide responded to these disruptions providing members with from-home access to vital health and wellness services including:
